Thanks to all ya!

Thanks to all ya!

Andy Harris, carpenterThanks first of all to Andy Harris who built the caravan.  Thanks to Cork City council who gave me the support to finance the project.  Thanks to Jerry Daly who cares for the storytelling caravan in his barn better than he’d care for some rare species of wild bird or roaming mammoth.  Julia Tyrell, Deborah Ni Choncabhair and their children helped me paint it.  That fantastic performer Dominique Moore helped sand it, Gareth O’Donnell, Kitty Duggan, Christy, Kevin, Anne, Emer and Declan O’Sullivan all my neighbors who rejoiced in it and helped in endless ways.  Thanks to Dermot Sullivan for his fabulous photos and Mari Sullivan for her great coaching and Helen Scully with her generous and enthusiastic support.  Liz Weir, the renowned storyteller of Antrim with her story barn, friend and mentor has taught me so much and Kate Murphy mentored me and shared her home spun stories from the north.  Thanks to the West Cork Arts Centre who asked for a commission award for me which I was honored to receive from the Arts Council of Ireland, to gather stories from older people in West Cork and create a one woman show.  Thanks to Cork County Council for their continuing support.  Thanks Dad, for being a storyteller and transmitting centuries knowledge from a faraway land and Mom for all her encouragement.  And a big thanks to my partner Arno Rosset for all his help from painting to seeking the quest of the mega story.  And last but absolutely first of all thanks to my courageous, happy and wildly willing children who have been on this adventure with me all the way.
